This heart-warming story that went viral on Twitter began with cancer survivor Aruna PK, a die-hard of Shah Rukh Khan. Her tweet from her hospital bed read, \u201cI am full of gratitude to doctors, family and friends and last but not least @iamsrk for being the source of strength he doesn\u2019t even know he is.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The message spread through the Twitter network like wildfire. Aruna\u2019s friends began a Twitter campaign – #SRKmeetsAruna and tagged him in their tweets. Once her condition was brought to his notice, the superstar reached out to Aruna through a video on his fan page on Twitter, SRK Universe. \u201cI want to say this, that me, my whole family, all our friends who know about you, we are all praying for your wellness,\u201d said SRK in the heartfelt reply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, Shah Rukh Khan tried to reach out to Aruna over the phone but her condition was too serious to allow for a telephonic conversation. He could only pray for her speedy recovery with the words, \u201cYou are in a state where meeting you is perhaps not a possibility. But I know this for a fact, with the positivity that you carry around you will get well soon and we will meet very soon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Injecting a bit of characteristic SRK humour into the narrative, he went on to say that he would perform for Aruna on a song of her choice at their meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Last Gesture<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, the meeting was not to be and Aruna\u2019s desire to meet SRK was to remain unfulfilled as she succumbed to the disease she had battled for six years. As a parting gesture, Shah Rukh Khan sent his condolences to the grieving family, praying for peace for Aruna\u2019s departed soul and strength for the family to deal with the loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
