Acalabrutinib Capsules
Acalataz is a medicine used in the treatment of cancer. It contains the active substance acalabrutinib.
Acalataz belongs to a group of medicines called Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitors, also known as BTK inhibitors.
It works by blocking BTK, a protein in the body that helps certain cancer cells grow and survive.
By blocking BTK, Acalataz helps kill cancer cells and reduce their number, which can slow the progression of the disease.
Acalataz is indicated for the treatment of adults with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.
Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, also known as CLL, is a cancer of white blood cells called B-lymphocytes or B-cells.
These cells form part of the body's immune system.
Acalataz belongs to the class of Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitors.
It works by blocking BTK, a protein involved in the growth and survival of cancer cells.
Blocking BTK helps kill cancer cells and reduce the number of abnormal cells in the body.
This action can help slow the progression of the disease.
Acalataz is used in adult patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia.
